To curl or not to curl? That is the question. Keratin treatment vs natural curls

I saw this amazing hair transformation yesterday (don’t tell my husband I was watching The View!) and I loved this comparison of curly vs straight hair on identical twins.

You can watch the video below for the full how to but my biggest tips from this are to move away from shampoo if you have dry / curly hair and use a sulphate free shampoo (which I am about to look for online now!) and to convert your curly hair to straight try a Keratin treatment. Much better than the old Japanese straightening technique as it is wears off rather than growing out . Nothing worse than a fuzzy hairline and straight locks.

Which twin do you prefer? Annamarie’s natural curls or Ginamarie’s poker straight locks? What would you do?

I know this is a very old post (just discovered this blog) but I feel like this comparison is unfair. The curly hair pictures show the girls with what looks like VERY dry and super frizzy hair. It also looks like the girls were told to take a shower, let their hair dry, and then try to brush it with one of those brushes with a ton of those little bristles, you know? I feel like it'd be much more fair to compare them with curls that have been treated and cared for the appropriate way. As a fellow curly-haired gal, I love my curls. They can be frustrating (especially the renegade that I almost always have in the front), but they definitely make me ME. I agree with what you said in another post. You feel like a different person with big, curly hair. That's how I feel if/when my hair is straight. I feel very different when my hair is straight.

I love your twist and pin (I'm going to try it tomorrow after sleeping on my hair tonight). I also love how you break down your hair steps for braids and I cannot wait to try out more of your styles!

@Kristen – I know what you mean, I think they wanted the curls after to look better. They definitely had some great tips for curly hair.

Let me know how you go with the Twist & Pin!
