NYFW hairstyles you’ll want to copy

Unlike yesterday’s hairstyles you should avoid, these are NYFW hairstyles to covet.

The ponytail remains a favourite hairstyle on the runway and here are the newest ways to wear it. Long haired girls also find new inspiration with soft waves, romantic textured styles and braids and headscarves are definitely in for spring.

Sergio Davila

Relaxed side ponytail

Add some height to the front of your hair and brush your hair into a low side ponytail. Tease your ponytail to add some texture for a more relaxed finish. This orange red lip is also one to copy to update your look.

Herve Leger

Three part ponytail

Three interconnecting ponytails add an extra dimension to this sleek modern ponytail hairstyle. Neil Moodie of Bumble & Bumble created the look and he explains his inspiration and shares some how to tips in this video.

Side parted topsy tail ponytail

Update your ponytail with a deep side parting. Supima combined this with a topsy tail knot.

Rebecca Minkoff

Brushed out curls

The 70s are still influencing hair and I love these brushed out curls at Rebecca Minkoff. Embrace your natural frizz with this big hair. Add a smooth centre part so it looks like you meant it.

Sideswept fringe

This side part fringe has a romantic feel, with the soft, natural texture of the hair. Create this sideswept fringe by parting your hair to the side, approx level with the outer edge of your eyebrow. Brush the front of your hair forward and gently twist and pin above your ear, hiding the pin and pulling out some hair from underneath.

Luca Luca

Turbans

Scarf headwraps and turbans were all over the runway at Karen Walker and Anna Sui. Luca Luca has all your spring beauty trends in one place with the turban knotted scarf headwrap, dewy eyes and bright lip.

Half-up braid

This simple side braid seen at Tadashi Shoji was one of my favourite braids at NYFW. This braid will be a new look I’ll be wearing all year round. Love the unfinished end that blends into loosely curled hair.

Which look will you wear first?

I love the Half-Up Braid. Do you have instructions? And the Sideswept Fringe is lovely.
Thanks for sharing these do-able styles.

I love the side swept fringe! I'm trying to grow my bangs out so this looks like the perfect way to hide the awful mess they have become in the process!

A Sweet Release

I also love the half-up braid! So chic. I remember doing the inside-out ponytail thing and the three connected ponytail when I was little! Glad to see it's in fashion again! :D

Love the fringe, and the braid.
Also the topsy tail knot reminds me of school hair! :)
