My three hair must-haves: Anthony Nader

Part of the Hair Romance Hair Stars series where the experts share their three must-have hair products that they can’t live without.

Anthony Nader is an extremely accomplished hairdresser and a highly respected identity within the hair and beauty industry. Anthony was crowned the prestigious title of AHFA Australian Masters Award in 2010, Editorial Session Stylist of the Year 2008 and he received the AHFA Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2006. Anthony works mainly in New York but returns to Australia every four weeks to see his exclusive clients. He recently returned to Australia for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week as hair director for Gary Bigeni and Hair Romance asked him what hair products he couldn’t live without.

Anthony Nader: My three hair must-haves

1. KMS California Dry Wax because it’s not a hard hairspray. I love this product, especially in my work as I shoot 5 or 6 days a week in New York and I always take this with me.

2. Mason & Pearson brush because I’ve been using mine for years and I can’t live without it

3. Blush brush because it’s my backstage styling secret for catching any flyaway hairs.

Isn’t that such a great tip for using an old blush brush? Anthony shared some of his backstage secrets for styling the perfect ponytail here. He told me to mist some hairspray onto an old (clean) blush brush and then gently brush it over your hair to smooth down any flyaway hairs. It won’t leave any brush marks and it means you won’t use too much hairspray either. Best backstage styling secret, thanks Anthony!

Are these in your hairstyling kit? What’s your must have hair product?
