Part of the Hair Romance Hair Stars series where the experts share their three must-have hair products that they can’t live without.

Frank Apostolopoulos is one of Australia’s most renowned hair stylists. He began his hairdressing career with BIBA salons over 15 years ago and is now a Creative Director in the company. He was recently named the 2012 Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards.

Frank has worked extensively in editorial and session styling and also styled celebrities for the Emmy’s. When he’s not running his three salons, he’s also responsible for the education and training of the staff and students at BIBA. After picking up an award for Best Photographic Collection at Hair Expo 2012, Frank told Hair Romance the hair products he can’t live without.

Frank Apostopoulos’ three must-have hair products

1. Wella SP Delicate Volume Volumising Foam – I love this because it helps build body in the hair yet still lets the hair have a natural flow, rather than making the hair stiff like some volumisers do.

2. Wella SP Refined Texture Modeling Cream – Loving this at the moment for the shorter textured crops we are doing. It’s a real workable paste that gives hair definition with shine but keeps the hair grease-free.

3. Wella SP Perfect Hold Hairspray – This is the most perfect hair spray around, giving the hair hold all day long without the “stiff “look.  It’s got a very natural feeling with all the hold benefits.

Have you tried Frank’s top 3? What’s your must-have hair product?

I haven’t tried these but the Volumising Foam and hairspray both look fantastic. I’ll be hunting them down. Rachel x
