Ok, this is a first for me. Here are my outfit posts from Australian Fashion Week.
I was unsure about posting these but I checked with you on Facebook and it was a huge yes so here goes. I can tell you fashion bloggers make it look easy… Instead of peacocking around the entrance I was running around backstage so I chose comfort over extra accessories but I still managed all week in heels
Day 1 – I remembered to get a snap at the end of the day (after I took my hair out – it was a waterfall plait) – wearing Witchery top, H&M skirt and Nine West heels
Day 2 – favouring comfort I wore a studded shirt dress from Seed, jewellery from Oroton and Wittner leopard heels
Day 3 – wearing white AG jeans, leopard shirt from Italy, Zara blazer and Miu Miu heels. Big hair and bright lips to draw attention away from my tired eyes
Day 4 – Another Seed shirt dress (I could live in shirt dresses) and Nine West heels and wearing MAC Lady Danger lippy
Day 5 – For the day I wore leather pants, Mimco heels and an oversized shirt but I changed into this Therese Rawsthorn black dress for the Elle party.
How I wore my hair
With all the crazy of the week, I hardly took any hair photos! On the first day I wore my hair in a waterfall plait and on the second day I wore my hair in a half crown braid.
The rest of the week I embraced my curls and wore them big every day. They were more than a little fluffy by the end of the week but I just went with it. Here are my curls at the end of the day on Friday.
Hello Elle runway and launch party
To finish off fashion week, I was invited to the Elle magazine show and launch party. It was a fun, fabulous way to end the week and I’m excited to see the first issue when it launches later this year.
After a runway show featuring highlights from the week, a cover was pulled off the catwalk to reveal a gold glitter floor. Models came back wearing custom gold gowns and carrying these fab balloons.
With the stunning Michelle Bridges, Jane Weston and Nikki from Styling You.
With Justine Cullen, Editor of Elle magazine and Georgia Reid of Maybelline.
With the fabulous Nigel Stanislaus who led the Maybelline teams backstage at Fashion week
The gold runway!
So now I’ve taken off my heels and had a rest on the weekend! I’ll be bringing you more beauty and hair trend stories from fashion week over the next couple of weeks. Not sure I’ll make outfits posts a regular feature, I’ll need to practice my posing first
