Christina Butcher - Bruns Braids and Twist hairstyle book

So…I wrote a book!

I’m so excited about the release tomorrow of Buns, Braids and Twists!

I was approached by a publisher who found my 30 Hairstyles in 30 Days and 30 Braids in 30 Days ebooks and asked me to be the author of this hairstyle guide. There isn’t really any crossover between my ebooks and this print book as I created many new styles for Buns, Braids and Twists.

Buns, Braids and Twists covers all the basic hairstyles to help you achieve the perfect ponytail, right through to braided updos. There are 82 hairstyle tutorials to suit all levels and ages.

I would like to say s huge THANK YOU to all the contributors for helping me to create this hairstyle book. Thanks to my editors Diane and Laura Lee for all your guidance. Thanks to Heidi for sourcing so many beautiful photos. There are lots of other bloggers featured, including Emily of The Freckled Fox, Abby of Twist Me Pretty, Tash from Breakfast with Audrey, Dee from MamaStylista, Sophia of Moulin Frock, Jess of Jess Loves Fred and Adeline of Through Beauty Eyes – just to name a few. I also had help from some gorgeous readers who let me do their hair. Thank you so much for helping with such short notice and being so much fun. Thanks also to Xiaohan of Xssat Street Fashion for your photography, especially in some awful weather!

The biggest thank you goes to my wonderful husband, Jim, who helped me through all the stress and deadlines to actually make this book a reality. I couldn’t have done it without you.

If you’re in the UK or Asia, you’ll find Buns, Braids and Twists available under the title, The Hairstyle Directorybut inside it’s just the same!

Buns, Braids and Twists is available from Chronicle Books and Amazon. It would be a perfect Christmas gift! (hint hint ;) )

Woohoo! So great that it’s finally out. Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy. That weather was little nuts, but Mr Romance was more than helpful.

Thanks so much Stacy! It’s all seems a little surreal still. Maybe it was the lack of sleep from all the crazy deadlines when I was writing it ;)

I am patiently waiting for Christmas since my husband has my copy hidden away in the house. I’m dying to get my hands on this book. I love hardcopies instead of ebooks for this type of thing. But now I just reread the page and you are saying I still need to get copies of all your ebooks since they are different. Oh boy! Do you plan to put your ebooks in print format? That would be spectacular.

Hair Romance December 9, 2013 at 9:03 am

Your husband is awesome Melissa! I hope you like my book when you finally get it :) At the moment there’s no more hardcopy plans but I’d love to do more print books. I love ebooks and have a few more ideas for next year I’m already working on xx
