How’s your 2014 so far?

2014 - my best year yet

How’s your 2014 going so far?

Please tell me your January is going as fast as mine!

I loved reading Nikki of Styling You’s 2014 post inspired by Pip of Meet Me At Mike’s. A few bloggers are writing this list so I thought I’d join in too. It’s a great way of taking stock of the year so far.

Making: Lots of new hair tutorials. I’ve been on a roll this month and will be posting a new tutorial every week.
Cooking: Summer salads with haloumi and figs. I’m also cooking up a new hairstyle book! I’ll be able to share more details in February…
Drinking: Lots of champagne to celebrate friends’ birthdays and weddings.
Reading: Spirited by the gorgeous Rachel Magahy and Tara Bliss and Now Discover Your Strengths – fascinating reads.
Wanting: to shoot more video, but it makes me so nervous! Hoping to overcome my fears in 2014.
Looking: forward to new travels.
Playing: Beyonce’s new album on repeat.
Deciding: to take it easier on myself this year.
Wishing: for a new wardrobe.
Enjoying: early morning starts.
Waiting: for Game of Thrones season 4.
Liking: friends coming to stay.
Wondering: what would Beyonce do?
Loving: working with my husband on Mr & Mrs Romance.
Pondering: new goals for 2014.
Considering: a new web design for my blogs.
Watching: Season 3 of Girls.

Hoping: to do something fun every day.
Marvelling: at beautiful friends who have become mums, and their strength amazes me every day.
Needing: to find more time for exercise.
Smelling: Bond No.9 perfumes that remind me of New York.
Wearing: new J Brand jeans and salty hair.
Following: my friends’ travels.
Noticing: new muscles (that hurt) after pilates.
Knowing: that I can’t do it all.
Thinking: about my travel bucket list for 2014.
Feeling: excited about 2014.
Admiring: friends who are making changes to follow their dreams.
Sorting: the admin side of my business, and my wardrobe.
Buying: pretty sparkly things from BaubleBar (who now ship to Australia)
Getting: up early to run with friends.
Bookmarking: new style inspiration on Pinterest.
Disliking: ignorance, but otherwise feeling very grateful.
Opening: myself up to being more mindful, and trying meditation.
Giggling: over wine and late night chats with my girlfriends

Wanting: Some red wine and good girlfriend conversation
Loving: Bold lips (purple, pink, red … yes please!)
Thanks for the list! I am going to link back to you and put this list in my blog!

Cooking: Not much at all. Subzero temps sap my energy. Hello grilled cheese.
Drinking: Lots of water–this cold weather is hell on my dry skin. Hydrate from the inside!
Thinking: About the Winter Olympics. I’m looking forward to seeing what team USA can do. And I have to say, I’m digging Shaun White’s shorter hair.
Sorting: Through old music, and loving the journey it’s taking me back on.

I love this idea! So fun. We put one up on The Pretty Guinea Pig, too.

I really love this list and reading everyone’s answers. As you know, you’re my Hair Idol but I’m always too shy to comment over here because I am such a Hair Dunce…BUT! I just adore what you and Jim have created over at Mr and Mrs Romance and I’ve enjoyed getting to know you both through it. I’m sharing my list on the blog this Friday and as for one word to use in my comment…Wanting: to meet you this year!
