Last week I was having one of those days. I was in a bit of funk and to top it off, my hair was just wasn’t behaving.
It was a bad hair day.
So I turned to my lovely facebook community to find out your tips on how to fix a bad hair day.
1. Dry shampoo
Stacey & Nicole both recommend using lots of dry shampoo.
If you don’t love dry shampoo, maybe you’re making one of these 3 mistakes with dry shampoo.
2. Re-wet or re-wash your hair
Summer admits that sometimes you just need to start over and re-wet or re-wash your hair.

3. Straighten your hair
Angela says to grab your styler and shape your hair into style. Did you know that ghd stands for “good hair day”? I think they are definitely on to something.
Check out this before & after with the ghd eclipse in my hair. If I want sleek hair, that’s my go-to styler.
4. Curl it
Jodie says to work with the mess of your bad hair day and add in more curls.
If you have curly hair, check out my tutorial to restyle curly hair on the second day. For straight hair, try this tutorial for soft waves.
5. Braid it
Braid are always a fix for bad hair days. I swear by them and so do Angela, Linda and Nicole.
6. Wear a messy bun
Sometimes you just need to hide your bad hair day away. Crystal, Angela and Nicole say their go-to style is a messy bun.
My curly top knot tutorial is perfect for messy hair, whether your hair is straight or naturally curly.
Distract from your bad hair day with a pretty hair accessory. It’s amazing the difference a headband or clip can make in seconds.
One of my fave shops for hair accessories is ASOS because they’re inexpensive and on trend. I always have a few clips or bands ready for a bad hair day.
Lisa says to chuck a sickie and go to the hairdresser!
If only, Lisa! I wish.
Summer also says it’s all about your attitude. Sometimes you just have to roll with it. I bet your hair is not as bad as you think. Your hair just doesn’t meet your high expectations.
So what did I do?
I had time so I jumped back in the shower and washed my hair. I figured it was better to start over and set myself up for a few days of good hair. It did the trick.
