Styling short hair is fun and can be more versatile than long hair. Short hair is to quick and easy to wash and restyle, so you can use heavier products to really sculpt your hair.

Just because your hair is too short for braids or upstyles, doesn’t mean you can’t create endless different looks. Try moving your part, slicking your hair down or spiking it up. Play around with your hair and have fun seeing what shapes you can create.

For wavy or curly short hair, try Kiehl’s Creative Cream Wax for a defined and sculpted look. It adds a just enough shine to define your hair hair without it looking greasy. Find it online at Kiehl’s or Nordstrom.

On those days when you don’t have time to wash your hair, sprinkle a little TIGI Bed Head Sugar Dust for instant volume. It will take the shine of your roots and is also great for adding texture to freshly washed hair. Find it in salons or online at Ulta Beauty.

To really mess up your hair you need a strong styling paste. Try KMS HairPlay Clay Creme. It’s rough, matte texture is perfect for bringing out the shapes in your pixie cut. It’s flexible so you can keep working it until you get the look you want. Find it in salons or online at Ulta beauty.

I loved Pomade when I had my hair short in a pixie, and then started playing with mouse once my curls/waves started to pop up again once it grew too a bob.

Pomade is perfect for really defining pixie cuts and creating that “piece-y” texture. I agree it’s not so good once your hair grows and it can be heavy on curls.

Sometimes i wish i have short hair. Those people who have short hair say it’s harder to style shorter hair and those who have long hair say the opposite. We’ll never know who’s right :P

When I had short hair (one-two inches longer than pixie) with hair a bit longer at the front and a fringe, I loved using texturizing pastes (waxes and gels). I would brush my hair from the back, forward, and create lots of layers to my bangs while I was growing out my hair.
With short hair, I could comb or run my fingers through it in a different direction and I’d have a new hairstyle. :]
