Joan Smalls Met Gala 2014

Hope you’ve having a fabulous weekend! We’ve had heaps of fun as it’s the lead up to my husband’s birthday on Monday. I love birthdays so I like to celebrate them for at least a week, or maybe a month! Here’s a peek at what we got up to last week too.

Happy Mother’s Day today to all mums! Mother’s Day can be a tough day for those of your who have lost your mums. You should read this post by my friend Andrea of Fox in Flats. Sending love to all the mums and those who are missing theirs xx

Why not make my easy chocolate mousse for your mum, or just for you. I won’t judge ;)

The Met Gala, or the Oscars of fashion, happened this week. Joan Smalls looked amazing and makes purple lipstick look wearable. Check out more of the best dressed on Vogue.

I also loved Humans of New York’s portraits at the Met Gala.

I’m honoured to be in such great company on this list of Australia’s most inspirational women online and loved reading their career interviews.

How great are these illustrations of foreign words that can’t be easily translated into English especially no 13.

The power of a haircut, and the most amazing friends. I shared this video on my facebook page and it is so beautiful I had to share it again here. But be warned, have some tissues at the ready.

It’s swatchgirl.com’s 4th birthday and you get the presents in her giveaway!

I just bought this gorgeous cuff and ring and love wearing them together. On different arms of course, it would be too much on the one wrist/hand.

This pale pink trench is the perfect mid-season jacket.

Love this striped dress.

Need this knot bracelet in pink.

If you’re getting married (or recently married) I’ve really appreciate your help. I’m planning a DIY wedding hair project and would love your help with my quick survey. Thanks so much in advance!
