UPDATE: The 30 Buns in 30 Days eBook is here and it’s a bestseller!
Hair Romance is in the middle of a hairstyle challenge to create 30 Buns in 30 Days. This week all the buns will combine some of my favourite braids.
30 Buns in 30 Days – Day 8 – Dutch braided bun hairstyle
I’m loving that my hair is long enough to do this braided hairstyle. You’ll need long hair, or long layers that reach across your head to stay in this Dutch braid.
A Dutch braid, also known as a reverse braid, is the opposite of a French braid. Rather than bringing the hair over, you add in hair underneath to the middle sections.
This style is perfect for long to very long hair. If you hair is longer than mine, you’ll have a larger bun at the end. I would recommend braiding along your hairline and wind your braid around to create a long, oval shaped bun at the back of your head.
