Twin Peaks was the inspiration for Therese Rawsthorne’s collection. Hair director Jon Pulitano of Headcase Hair in Paddington followed the same 90s influences in creating the hair for the show.
Do you remember the undercut? Well Jon cleverly created the look, without the regret and painful grow-out stage. With the magical Cloud Nine Wand he injected some curve and softness into the androgynous style.
How to get the look
- Firstly disguise your hair into an “undercut” and take the bottom section from ear to ear, tightly pulling this section into a ponytail. Plait the ponytail and secure it into a bun that’s pinned flat to the head.
- Using the Cloud Nine Wand wrap the hair from roots to mid-length around the wand, leaving the ends free, to create soft waves.
- Create a deep side part and taking both sides, gently twist hair under, towards the back and secure the twist to the head with pins.
- Finish this androgynous undercut-like affect by securing style with hairspray for hold

Damaged ends? No time for a haircut? Then this is perfect for you! Hide all your split ends in this twist under style.
The Cloud Nine Wand has JUST hit salons so call 1300 C9hair to find your closest stockist in Australia. I am yet to try the wand for myself (too busy with RAFW!) but I am definitely heading to Headcase Hair next week to try it for myself. I think I may have to bring one home… you know, for further research…
