What a crazy month!
I’m so overwhelmed with the support I’ve received for my 30 Braids in 30 Days – I think you even crashed my site yesterday when the ebook was released!
Thank you to everyone who has tweeted, Facebooked and messaged me. It makes those sleepless nights so worthwhile.
Last weekend, while I was putting together the last of the 30 braids, I had the pleasure and privilege of attending the Beauty Bloggers Utopia conference in Sydney. Organised by the fantastic Sara-May and Larah of Makeup Utopia, the conference brought together 30 Australian beauty bloggers to learn and network, and just have some fun.
Above is a photo of me on the set of Legally Blonde The Musical. We did get told off for taking this photo but I’m going to post it and tell you to go see the show, so I’m sure they won’t be mad. Thanks to LustHaveIt for this fun surprise.
On the Sunday I had the opportunity to speak on a panel with Hannah DeMilta of Rocketman Media about making blogging my career. Lorraine Murphy of The Remarkables Group gave the closing keynote, speaking about how she sees the blogosphere.
Lorraine dropped a little hint about the next phase of her company and that she would be expanding The Remarkables Group to represent 10 Australian bloggers, including one beauty blogger. I’m excited to announce that the beauty blogger is me. I’m humbled to be in the company of such amazing women. I’m excited about the future and how this opportunity will give me more time to focus on the things I do best.
I just wanted to say thank you to all my readers and followers. You’ve inspired me and I hope I’ve inspired you too.

Finding your website has been a blessing since I have hair that I just don’t understand what it wants from me! I used to have dead straight hair till about my late 20’s, so much so that getting my hair “done” at the hairdressers for school Ball’s in lovely curls only to have it all dropped out before I got there! Now it’s wavey/curly and drives me nuts. A little bit of humidity and frizz city arrives. So I stalk your blog now to help gain some knowledge on how to handle my mop! XO
Hi Michelle, I know exactly what you mean. My hair changed like that as a teenager. Hope you’ve found some helpful tips, I always keep some bobby pins in my bag as it has to be hair up on really humid days x
