Big Hair Friday

March 27, 2015 By Hair Romance 2 Comments

Beach hair by Lina Tesch

Happy Big Hair Friday!

I’ve spent the week away in Bali on a girls’ trip doing my best to recreate this stunning beach hair. It’s back to reality today as I head home to Sydney.

This shot is by photographer Lina Tesch and you can see the rest of this shoot here.

Have a beautiful weekend xx

Help for type 2b/2c Caucasion hair…won’t curl w/o a lot of coaxing from product and diffuser. It’s almost below my ear length (still in layers from growing out pixie). Second day hair is flat & has to be wet down & routine started over. No “pineapple ” at bedtime for quite awhile. Suggestions how to style it from here to shoulder length?

Hi Libby, while you wait for your hair to be long enough to pineapple, you can try putting it up at night into mini buns ( a bit like bantu knots but not as tight) or just clip up the top layers. I started twisting & pinning my hair when it was this length as it was too short for a ponytail. Twist & Pin will give you heaps of updo ideas and you can even do it in wet hair to encourage more curls as it dries. Good luck, this grow out phase can take a while but it’s worth it xx
