Big Hair Friday

August 11, 2011 By Hair Romance 12 Comments

Winter’s back this week in Sydney and the mornings have been pretty chilly. But there’s only one week of winter left for me as I’m flying to London next Friday!

Today’s big hair is my hair! These are my messy second day curls. I braided the front very loosely in a backwards braid, only adding in sections at the hairline. I didn’t even need a hair elastic to secure it, it’s staying put as my hair is such a mess!

I’m wearing the Benefit Cha Cha Tint as a cheek and lip stain. It’s one of my new favourite products.

It looks fluoro orange in the bottle but don’t be scared as it is actually quite sheer. A couple of dabs on the apples of your cheeks gives a rosy glow. Remember to work quickly as this sets fast.

It has great staying power and lasts almost all day without touch ups. Love that it doubles as a lip stain too.

This weekend I’m taking a pasta cooking class and hosting a dinner party for 10 people but I’m most looking forward to meeting my friends’ new twin baby girls who were born this week. Then I need to start packing for my trip..! What’s happening at your place this weekend lovelies?

Thanks Kellie! There’s a step by step here http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/living/texture-entrepreneurs/hair-romance-turns-passion-to-profession?page=2 and it’s a braid similar to Hair Romance TV episode 4 x

Love the braid! I like that you can go without ties when it's that curly. I would love to see more curly styles! 🙂

This side braid looks great, I would definitely attempt it on the weekends. Nice and relaxed. 🙂

I would give something major to have those curls. Love the braid you did at the front too. Adds some amazing dimension.

I'm having a bad hair day today – flat and didn't respond well to the treatment I put in it yesterday. Boo hiss! Hopefully I can rectify the situation on the weekend…

It looks good without an elastic because the braid blends into your hair. Very cute!

Love it! Do you have any fab ideas for getting bangs temporarily off your face? I'm moving to a hot place and my forehead perspires, making bangs impractical during the day, but I still love them.
