#gingertwin – Mohawk French braid updo tutorial

March 19, 2015 By Hair Romance 18 Comments

Hair Romance - #gingertwin - mohawk French braid updo

Today’s hair inspiration, or hair-spiration come via instagram.

Instagram and Pinterest and two of my favourite places to check for hairstyle ideas. On instagram today a bunch of hair-grammers (that’s instagrammers who post lots of hair photos) are joining together on the hashtag #gingertwin.

On this hashtag, you’ll find a bunch of redheads who love braiding have teamed up to create this hairstyle by Missy Sue.

If you’re a redhead and want to take part, there’s still time and you can find the video tutorial for this style below. It’s a French braid on top that leads to a double bun hairstyle at the back. I love the addition of the feature bobby pins too.

I love these hair challenges as they help me discover new hair accounts to follow. I also find new followers in return which is a bonus. If you’re a blogger, look out for relevant hashtags to join with on Instagram to help grow your following and connect with new readers. You can find more blogging tips in my Beauty Blog School posts too.

I love your blog!! Your tutorials have given me such great ideas for my own hair! Your hair color is gorgeous (always), but I’m partial to red hair and really like the color in this tutorial. Do you know what colors were used by your stylist? Thanks so much!!

Love this look! Wishing I had fuller hair to rock it, I might just have to substitute half a can of dry shampoo! Haha x
