Hair products you need in your handbag

August 26, 2013 By Hair Romance 5 Comments

Handbag Hair essentials

From the files of hair products that look like makeup, here are two of my favourite hair products to keep in my handbag.

Handbag hair essentials

To tame flyaways:

If, like me, you suffer from fuzzy flyaway hair, the John Frieda Full Repair Touch Up Flyaway Tamer will live in your handbag.

The mascara-like applicator lets your smooth down fine hairs that are sticking up from your part. It’s perfect for taming all those superfine baby hairs you get on your hairline.

With the wand you never have to get your hands dirty with a stick serum which makes it so easy for quick touch ups. Read more of my tips for taming fuzzy flyaway hair here.

Available from Ulta, Amazon, Boots and Priceline.

To add volume:

I have a love of all styling powders and this new Shu Uemura Art of Hair Volume Maker gives you volume in a click.

The brush applicator is unique. You click the bottom of the handle and it dispenses just the right amount of product out through the centre of the brush. You then brush it along your roots for instant volume.

The brush lets you evenly spread the fine powder through your hair without dirtying your hands. The powder starts white but is invisible when brushed into your hair, helping you achieve that perfect Kate Moss messy hair.

It has a matte finish so it’s great for oily hair.

Available from Shu Uemura Art of Hair salons only, find your nearest salon here. (FYI site plays music automatically)

The clever makeup-inspired packaging of both of these hair products keeps your hair in style but your hands clean. Perfect for on the go touch ups, these products practically live in my handbag.

What hair products do you keep in your handbag? What’s your most essential hair product?

(My handbag is from ASOS)

TOTALLY agree with the Flyaway tamer. It is my saving grace since my hair decided to get all fluff-n-stuff on me. I also love a mini dry shampoo and hair spray. Hair spray is a miracle worker on everything, and even tames my ‘John-Howard-esque’ brows when they decide to go feral!

I love the John Frieda wand life savior for tight pony tales, buns etc. I don’t keep any hair products in my hand bag besides my Tangle Teezer Brush which I love because small, gets tangles out, gentle, etc. If I my favorite dry shampoo came in a small bottle def carry my Serge Normant dry shampoo

I love Tangle Teezer brushes too. Mini dry shampoo would totally be a life saver in my bag as well!
