Hair Romance at Australian Fashion Week 2013 – Backstage at Romance Was Born

Romance Was Born is one of Australia’s unique creative talents that surpasses fashion boundaries. Their Mushroom Magic presentation on the first night of Australian Fashion Week was one of the most anticipated shows and it did not disappoint.

I don’t know how to begin to describe the psychedelic Disney-slash-Mario world that was the runway, so here are some backstage snaps of the fantastic makeup by MAC and the incredible wigs by Alan White for ghd. I’ll be back with a full review of this spectacular show.

Speaking of ghd, I’m excited to announce that I’m the guest editor of their Pinterest boards for Australian Fashion Week! Follow ghd Australia on Pinterest to catch all the latest shows and street style snaps in one place!

PS. Yes, Alan White is using a balloon to style hair! I think there’s a whole post on that technique coming up 😉

Hi Pamela, these were custom cut and dyed for the fashion show. You would have to buy a longer wig and cut it to shape x
