Headband storage ideas

April 17, 2012 By Hair Romance 13 Comments

2012 is the year of the hair accessory but how do you keep keep your collection tidy?

Headbands were a huge red carpet trend and I love to top my top knot with a headband, so I’ve started collecting quite a few headbands. At first I kept mine in a box but here are some clever storage ideas for your headbands.

Love this hanging storage idea by Sunny Tuesday that takes less than 15 mins to make!

Re-use plastic bottles in this DIY from Catie’s Corner.

Create storage for all different sized headbands with towels – from Maryjanes and Galoshes

Dream Mom re-purposed a kitchen roll holder to store headbands on the side of a vanity

Worth making a trip to ikea – I found these DIY ideas on Rebecca Erwin’s Pinterest

How do you store your hair accessories?

I wonder if you could combine the kitchen towel holder with either the 2L coke bottle idea or the oatmeal box idea. You could cover the container, glue or just insert a empty paper towel tube inside the bottle or oatmeal box and hang it on the towel holder.
Hmm I might have to try that 🙂

Thanks for the coo ideas!! I really like the one with the picture frame/shadowbox–it makes accessories into works of art–which they are (justification for buying more headbands 😉

I need no justification for buying more headbands, but at least I have an excuse now 😉

I’ve also seen a lot of people decorate their round oatmeal canisters to put headbands on. I have saved one to use, but haven’t had a chance to decorate it yet.
    Very cute ideas!
