Holiday makeup essentials

August 21, 2011 By Hair Romance 5 Comments

In my efforts to pack small, I am limiting all my beauty products for this trip.

(Actually, this is just a ruse so I can buy more while I am overseas as it is so much cheaper and the ranges are better.)

I want to relax on holidays and don’t want to carry a full kit around. So what are my makeup must haves that I can’t live without?

Benefit Cha Cha Tint – I really have become obsessed with this product. It’s a space saver as it doubles as a lip and cheek tint and gives a beautiful peachy glow. Plus it’s long lasting so I don’t need to touch up for hours.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – Love this all natural beeswax lip balm with pomegranate oil for super soft lips.

Estee Lauder Day Wear Tinted Moisturiser – This light tinted moisturizer makes my skin all glowy and applies in next to no time for a fresh face.

Benefit Brow Zings – Brows are the frame to your face and a well groomed brow makes everything look better. This little kit has all you need and fills in the gaps in my brows too.

Chanel Ecriture Liquid Eyeliner pen – this makes liquid eyeliner super to easy to apply. I like to add a little winged eyeliner for night. If you love liquid eyeliner but struggle to apply it give this pen a go, it’s fanastic.

I normally am never without mascara but I always get my eyelashes tinted during summer and for holidays. I’ll probably still use a bit of mascara but I love the ease of tinted lashes.

What are your makeup must haves for travelling? Do you have any cult product suggestions that I should but that I can’t get in Australia?

That Benefit Tint looks amazing. I’m SO in love with multi tasking makeup!
Here’s some of my fave long lasting makeup picks for holiday parties…I’ve been giving these a test run this week and think they’ll look great for the holidays.

Stila’s Smudge Stick in Stingray – Black Waterproof Liner, works especially well for lining inner eye rims.
Mattify Cosmetic’s Long Lasting Eye Shadow in Summer Storm (sparkly silver/grey) and Purple Haze (smoky purple).
Mattify Cosmetic’s Ultra Powder – clear powder to set makeup and stop your skin from being oily so it looks fresh for a long time.
Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay In Place Lip Duo in Perfect Peach – nude peach, looks awesome with dramatic eyes.

Get the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It will change your life.

How amazing are the Chanel Eyeliner pens!? They're phenomenal to say the least!

BTW- where are you off to?
