Want to know a cool way to use velcro rollers to create soft waves in your hair? Check out my video tutorial with Beautytube.
The trick to using velcro rollers is to warm your hair first with your dryer. Then wrap your hair around the rollers, but only half way up. This will leave you with beautiful waves at the ends of your hair.
If your hair doesn’t hold a curl, use a hairspray like this one to add hold but not make your hair stiff or heavy.
Beautytube is a brand new beauty channel for fun and creative beauty tutorials. The brain child of Aleks and Jax of the cool Sydney salon Esstudio Galleria, this new beauty channel is dedicated to real tutorials with real women.
And one of those real women featured is me! I was thrilled to be part of this launch and you’ll see me in some other upcoming tutorials for hairstyles and nail art.
Here’s a little sneak peek at some of the upcoming tutorials. I shot these photos when I got home after the shoot. Aleks created this very cool twisted fishtail in my hair. Jax helped me create this cute nail art look and I can’t believe I managed to do it myself too.
The quality of the Beautytube production was amazing. You can get a sense of behind the scenes from this pic. You know how nervous I am making videos but the whole team put me at ease.
Thanks so much to the team as Esstudio for including me in the launch of Beautytube. Subscribe to Beautytube so you don’t miss a tutorial.

The curls look fantastic. How long did you leave the velcro rollers in for?
Hi Jen, leave them in til your hair cools to set the curls, around 10 mins or so x
