My three hair must-haves: Hairdresser on Fire

November 29, 2012 By Hair Romance 4 Comments

Part of the Hair Romance Hair Stars series where the experts share their three must-have hair products that they can’t live without.

Reagan Baker is the Hairdresser on Fire. Apart from running her fabulous hair blog, she is a stylist in New York and her work has appeared in Cosmopolitan, and on VH-1 and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I had the pleasure of having my hair styled by Reagan when I was in NYC, and I asked her to share her three must have hair tools that she can’t live without.

Reagan Baker: My 3 hair must-haves

1. SachaJuan Medium Hold Mousse. This is my favorite mousse of all time. You can pile handfuls upon handfuls and it will never feel like a product overdose. You get hold and body and fullness for days! Plus any product that works both blow dried or air dried into the hair is a friend to me and my wavy hair.

2. Pink Mason Pearson. You know, for pony tails, teasing, combing out retro curls and the smoothest straight blow dry your hair has ever had. And in pink because, well….you know Mason Pearson Pink is the cutest pink of all time.

3. One inch Marcel Iron by Hot Tools. This curling iron has never done me wrong. One inch seems to be my favorite size no matter what length my hair is. I love to touch up my 2nd or 3rd day waves by wrapping different sizes of sections loosely around the barrel. Works every time!

Speaking of 2nd and 3rd day hair…..if I am allowed to say one more product I would definitely say dry shampoo! I only shampoo my hair twice a week because this stuff is so brilliant! I use Pssst.

I’ll let you add in the dry shampoo Reagan, as it’s a total hair must-have for me. What hair product can’t you live without?

Love it l’m 73 have let my hair grow out out. I want gray or white hair I happen to come from a long line of either gray early early or very late. So I start bleaching the front from ear to ear leaving the back red lovevit have had so many compliments . Only problem I want to braid my hair but because of my RA it’s very hard some days . Would love a big thick braid to use like a head band . No long have the person who use to braid it for me she move out of town , any suggestions . Loved your blog.
