The Best Hair at the BAFTA Awards

February 15, 2012 By Hair Romance Leave a Comment

The quiet cousin of the movie red carpet season, the BAFTAs are prestigious but never ostentatious.

The BAFTAs are always the most low key of the red carpets awards ceremonies. The glamour is there but it’s reserved, one shouldn’t try too hard.

Melissa George

I’ve always liked Aussie actor Melissa George but haven’t seen her around much lately. I think we’ll be seeing more of her if she keeps up red carpet appearances like this. Melissa looked stunning in a Victoria Beckham sequinned dress, I love her chignon hairstyle and soft waves at the front. If you have layers in your hair, this is perfect. The pink lip completes this fab look.

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams should never grow her hair long again. She manages to make short hair look so easy yet versatile with subtle colour and cut changes each time. Again the red lip is perfect.

Gemma Chan

I have to confess I didn’t know who Gemma Chan was but I couldn’t stop staring at her super shiny hair. If you can see through her gleaming hair you might recognise her face from Doctor Who and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Top marks for the glossiest hair on the red carpet.

Christina Ricci

I LOVE Christina Ricci with a fringe. A heavy blunt fringe is a big trend at the moment, love how it draws so much attention to your eyes. This type of fringe is very high maintenance. Expect to be straightening your fringe and getting trims every two weeks – but it’s worth it.

Who had your favourite hair on the BAFTA red carpet?
