Top 5 hair blogs for girls’ hairstyles

January 30, 2014 By Hair Romance 23 Comments

The top 5 hairstyle blogs for girls hairstyles

If you have little girls you will love these hair blogs for girls’ hairstyles.

These girls must be the envy of the school playground. My mum would maybe do a ponytail or pigtails in my hair, but nothing like these incredible hairstyles.

Doing your daughter’s hair can be a great way to spend quality time together. You can have fun choosing from these blogs for hairstyle inspiration.

1. Cute Girls’ Hairstyles

Ribbon Loony Braid and Zipper Braid by Cute Girls Hairstyles

I’m pretty sure you’ve already heard of Cute Girls Hairstyles as they have over one million subscribers on YouTube! Created by Mindy, who is a mum of 6, Cute Girls Hairstyles posts a new hairstyle video each week. Mindy’s two eldest girls, twins Brooklyn and Bailey, also have their own YouTube channel. Dad Shaun also helps out with some easy hairstyles for dads to do in their daughters’ hair.

2. Princess Hairstyles

Princess Hairstyles - girls' hair blog

Princess Hairstyles  is ‘the story of a princess and her hair’. They post new video tutorials on their YouTube channel every Wednesday and have some really creative and decorative hairstyles. If you’re looking for a hairstyle for crazy hair day at school, this is where to look.

3. Girly Do Hairstyles

Girly Do Hairstyles - 100 days of hairstyles

Girly Do Hairstyles is currently on a hairstyle challenge to do a different style every day for 100 days! You can follow them on instagram and facebook with the hashtag #girlydos100daysofhair. Her daughter has only recently cut her hair so there is a great mix of long and short hairstyle ideas on Girly Do Hairstyles.

4. Babes in Hairland

Babes in Hairland - girls hairstyle blog

Babes in Hairland is full of sweet ideas for girls’ hairstyles. This stay-at-home mum to three girls loves playing with hair to create new looks. Check out her amazing alphabet hairstyles.

5. She Does Hair

She does hair - girls hairstyle blog

She Does Hair is run by another hair-loving mum who loves spending time with her girls. She doesn’t post as frequently but there are lots of hairstyle ideas for girls, and they’re fairly easy to achieve.

There are also lots of hairstyle tutorials on Hair Romance that are easy to do in girls’ hair too.

I’m not a mum but I do love playing with my nieces’ hair. I can try more complicated styles than I do in my own hair and it’s fun spending that time with them just playing around.

Did you love trying new hairstyles when you were young? Does your daughter let you play with her hair?

Let me know if there are any other hair blogs I should add to this list.

With no doubt, those blogs are very good. Cutegirlshairstyle and Hairstyle4 my princess are the oldest ones and most popular. This last year a lot of new blogs have been coming out, wich is good. A lot of new ideas are showing up every day and a lot of new channels are trying to search on the web new hairstyles. What you said is completely true, the blogs you listed are very good and very popular BUT they also have copied a lot of hairstyles from others, taking advantage of the millions of views they have. So I think that it is good to share ideas and learn from others, as well as giving credit to the other people. Thank you so much.

Hello! I first found Princess Hairstyles & enjoy doing their ideas on my daughters’ hair ( I even have their book!). I’ve since found several of the others. There’s another great mum from Holland who does amazing things with hair (“Vlechjes Enzo” is her name on youtube–sorry, not sure how to link that). Unless you speak Dutch, you have to just follow her videos pretty close to recreate her styles! Thanks for sharing these great sites with others. Thanks, too, for sharing ideas on what to do with my hair so my girls aren’t the only ones with an amazing style! 🙂

Since you asked, I run a brand new site just for hair tutorial features. I have seen so many great hairstyles on the web and I wanted one place to go and see all of these styles. As I grow, people will be able to browse the galleries and find some great tutorials.

I LOVE all these website for my daughter’s hair and even a few styles for mine. I have done some super intricate styles on her hair over the years thanks to them. Unfortunately, at almost 10 she won’t let me style her hair as much as I’d want. What once was daily is now once a week if I’m lucky. 🙁 Soon we’ll be able to do the more adult styles on her hair from Hair Romance. 🙂
