Hate those hotel hairdryers? Me too!

Travel Hair – 5 Hotel Hairdryer Hair Hacks

I recently filmed this while in Borneo for Mr & Mrs Romance and I encountered one of the worst hotel hairdryers ever. It was attached to the wall with the smallest cable. It only worked while you pushed the switch and it felt a bit like someone breathing on you. If I tried to dry my hair completely, it would have taken hours. And the results would still be terrible.
I hope these tips helped and I’d love to hear any travel hair hacks you use when you’re away!

I only travel light with handluggage wherever I go and for however long I go. When I go to warm places, I don’t bring a hairdryer and just let my curls air dry. For colder areas I actually bought a travelling hair dryer that’s super tiny and and also comes with a super tiny diffuser – because I cannot use a hair dryer on my curls without a diffuser. I was so surprised by how much power that tiny thing has, it only takes a little more time to dry my hair than with my “big” hair dryer.

Which travel dryer do you use Yasz?

The tip on drying just the front of your hair is gold. This just saved me from bringing my own hairdryer anywhere.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve always relied on hair dryers in the hotels during my travel, basically because I’m a light traveller. So I usually get to just use what’s available, and boy, they sometimes are a struggle!

I love these tips! Good idea to start in the front. Thanks 🙂 I always pack my hair straightener! I wouldn’t be able to live without it on vacation!
Hair Romance says
Thanks Tanya! Your hair straightener is super versatile when you travel 🙂

I love you, but your tips for using a hotel hair dryer seem like they are basic common sense tips for people with curly hair–use a brush, use product–and then #4 and #5…bring your own? air dry? That’s not a hack for a hotel hair dryer! I feel like you were REALLY stretching for content here.
Hair Romance says
haha fair call. Maybe I should have kept it to 3 🙂 But sometimes common sense isn’t all that common xx
