The fashion shows at Milan Fashion Week have to compete with backdrops like this, so you need to do something big to stand out.
As part of the N-U-D-E show for new and emerging designers, Francesca Liberatore featured some pretty spectacular hats. I’m waiting to see DIY versions of these striking accessories.
Are you a fan of big hats?
A few years ago I made a New Year’s Resolution to wear more hats. A strange resolution, I know, but I wanted to make sure I could keep it!
I’ve never made a more successful resolution. I now own a lot more hats and got over my fear of wearing hats in every day situations. I used to try a hat on, then go :NO, it feels too much!” and take it off. Now the bigger the hat the better!
I’m intrigued by a few of these hats, and can imagine wearing a few of these styles.
Would you wear these hats?
Sarah says
I think they look a little too much like a craft project.
I do like big hats though!
Janessa says
I definitely would wear these! Buying them would be another story, since I wouldn’t get much wear out of one. I have a wide brim hat with a scarf strung through it and it looks safari-ish but classic as well. I am only missing one of those tulle or organza veils to complete this sort of look. I love how it keeps the face partially hidden though if I were to pick one I’d actually wear, it’d be in a style similar to the green one. That way, I can actually get on with my day and see clearly yet be wearing a striking hat. :]
