Twist & Pin Hairstyle Inspiration

October 25, 2011 By Hair Romance 17 Comments

The Twist & Pin is my favourite hairstyle technique. So good in fact I wrote a whole book about it!

Why not give it a try today? My first ever episode of Hair Romance TV shows you how to do the Twist & Pin.

The reason I love the Twist & Pin is because it looks different every time you do it, and there are infinite variations.

Here’s a side chignon version of the Twist & Pin.

I promise you it will be one of the quickest and easiest hairstyles you will ever do. It’s even great in dirty hair so you can press snooze, stay in bed a bit longer but still look great at work.

Let me know in the comments if you try it today. What’s your favourite hairstyle?

The twist and pin has become my staple second (and sometimes third) day style. So versatile and easy, and the kids I teach always comment on how awesome and complicated it looks. Bonus!

@clementine* – Thank you! I'm so pleased you're trying some of my tutorials. I've got to try these Mane & Tail products for myself, I've been hearing a lot about them lately.

@kaz23z – Thank you! My earring are from Polli – I love their jewellery – http://www.polli.com.au/

@Bella Blithely – hahaha! I wonder if that's what happens to my pins too. No matter how many I buy I am always running out of bobby pins!

I love this hairstyle and wear it often. But I find that when I get home from work I absent-mindedly start to remove pins and leave them all over the house. My poor man has been playing too much Fallout and whenever he finds one of my stray bobbie pins he exclaims "awesome, a lock pick!"

when you first started doing pin&twist tutorials earlier this year i had long hair, and i never got as many twists as you because it was so thin and damaged! i wanted to buy your book but when you first came out with it i had cut my hair and it wasnt long enough to twist and pin. but i recently started using the mane&tail hair products i've heard so much about and it really does make my hair thicker and stronger. now i think my hair is long enough to try, as well. i've been twisting it into a bun when i sleep like you suggested and my hair really does look better when i wake up! (i usually shower at night) your blog is wonderful πŸ™‚

I like the look. I did the twist and pin one from the ebook earlier this summer. Very easy and practically a no fail look.
