A break from my usual beauty content to share some exciting fashion news. My friend Nikki of the hugely successful blog Styling You has just released her first book Unlock Your Style.
It wasn’t long after I started blogging that I discovered Styling You on Twitter. I have been reading Nikki’s blog for years and love her Model & Me series. Seeing current fashion on a regular body versus a model really makes it easy to work out how it would look on you. That’s one of Nikki’s style skills – making fashion and beauty easy and approachable.
Nikki is also one of the most generous bloggers I know and is always helping others, myself included. She has inspired me to see blogging as a profession.
Unlock Your Style is a guide to defining and refining your style so that you can look good and feel good every day. It’s a fantastic resource and I would recommend it even if I wasn’t friends with Nikki. This book is so practical and useful and will help you to create a wardrobe and beauty cabinet that you love.
I was so happy to attend the Unlock Your Style book launch yesterday and to celebrate this amazing achievement with Nikki and meet some of her lovely readers.
And yes I did buy that cape. Love it and I now want it in black too.
If you’re in a style rut, or want to refine your style then you need this book. It’s also a beautiful gift for your friend, sister or mum as it’s such a positive fashion book that celebrates beauty at every age. As Nikki says, style doesn’t have a use by date.
Unlock Your Style is now available in good bookshops, Big W and Kmart and you can find all online retailers here.
Have you found your style? How would you describe your style?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Nikki had a web sit like yours. You know, she may have already, I just don’t know about it. But that would really rock. I’d subscribe to a weekly Nikki tutorial!
2 of my most favourite gorgeous girls! So proud of Nikki and can’t wait to squeeze her when she gets to Adelaide.
PS: love that cape! What’s the sizing like? x
Thanks gorgeous! I got the large as my shoulders are broad but you could go a medium x
I saw a lady wearing that cape on a recent trip to Sydney. Seriously cool but sadly not practical for Darwin 😉
maybe a cotton cape? it’s cooler than a jacket (literally & figuratively speaking 😉 ) I might start advocating for capes…
Oh Christina, thanks so much for your lovely words and for being there on the night and letting me sign Mr Romance’s chest! Love the cape!!
