Happy holidays everyone!
2012 is almost here and what a year 2011 has been!
I though I’d start to round up the year with a summary of some of my favourite hairstyle tutorials that should have all your hair needs covered for the holiday season.
Pretty low side bun tutorial by …Love Maegan
Maegan writes a beautiful fashion/lifestyle/home blog but is also great at styling her long hair. This pretty low side bun tutorial is perfect for everyday or for a simple party upstyle.
French Twist Tutorial by Lillith Moon
A new friend only recently told me about Lillith Moon and her amazing YouTube channel. Her hair tutorials are amazing and this French twist hairstyle is a party classic.
Dutch braided updo
Inspired by another beautiful tutorial from Lillith Moon I tried this braided upstyle and here is the video tutorial for this upstyle too.
Short hair chignon tutorial by The Beauty Department
Looking for an easy upstyle you can do with a bob or lob? Here you go!
Ballerina bun tutorial by The Beauty Department
Another pretty hair tutorial from the Beauty Department is this ballerina bun. It’s a great style for long hair, and you can also fake it with donut padding too.
Five strand braid tutorial by Luxy Hair
Do you have long hair and are you looking for a hairstyle challenge? Try this five strand plait. You’ll have everyone asking about your hair.
The hair bow
The hair bow was such a popular post I had to include the video tutorial in my Christmas hairstyle roundup. It’s perfect for matching the presents under the tree!
I also love this top knot hair bow variation that you can do in medium length or long hair
Soft curls in short hair tutorial by The Glamorai
The gorgeous Kelly has a fab step by step on how she achieves these soft curls in short hair.
Her technique is great for long hair too, you may want to do smaller sections, or keep them larger for beachy waves.
Braided headband hairstyle tutorial by Sea of Shoes
Another version of theses curls with a simple braided headband hairstyle. This style is so easy and looks gorgeous but not too ‘done’.
Fishtail braid tutorial by Cupcakes and Cashmere
Love a side braid, and fishtail braids are beautiful. I like them a little messed up, as they look lovely when they are loose. This fishtail braid video tutorial from Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere will help you master the fishtail.
Messy beehive hairstyle tutorial by Wish Wish Wish
Carrie has made a sweet video tutorial on how she does this retro beehive hairstyle. I love it because it’s not too perfect, and so looks more modern.
Messy twist updo by Love Aesthetics
Love messy hair? This simple hairstyle tutorial from Ivania of Love Aesthetics is just for you. I think this look works because her hair is the most amazing colour. Try this in dirty hair when you’ve slept in for the ultimate bohemian upstyle.
3/4 halo braid tutorial by Hairdresser on Fire
The last tutorial I’ll leave you with is this halo braid from the amazing Reagan. If you haven’t visited Hairdresser on Fire, I thought I’d leave it to the end as you won’t be back for a while! Her hair blog is fantastic, and so is Reagan.
Happy holidays and I hope you have fun with your hair!
Which is your favourite look? Do you have a favourite hairstyle tutorial that I need to know about?
