5 ways to wear a scarf and top knot – 2 – the sash

April 19, 2012 By Hair Romance 10 Comments

More top knot + scarf hairstyle inspiration!

The second way I like to wear a scarf with my top knot is as a simple sash that falls at the back.

How to get the look

Put your hair in a top knot. My top knot tutorial can help even if your hair is fine.

Fold your scarf diagonally into a long strip. You can also use a rectangular scarf.

Tie it like a sash around your top knot, and let the ends hang at the back.

This is a great way to wear a favourite scarf as it really shows off the pattern. Scarves are a fun way to add colour to your outfit too. I’d keep it simple with the earrings, just a small stud or button earring would be perfect.

Check out my other ways to wear a scarf and a top knot:

Wow – you have done such a gorgeous job Christina.

You have taken me back to an era that I picture you in your 3/4 “pedal pushers” with your striped tee, flats and sipping on a milkshake.
    A great job again

    have a lovely day
