Love this crazy big hair shot by photographer James Houston.
I’ve just arrived in Chicago after a long and epic flight journey. I ended up landing at 2am but woke up to this amazing sunrise at 5.30am. After a few more hours sleep I’m ready to explore Chicago!
I’m at BlogHer thanks to Schwarzkopf Australia and even though I went last year, I feel a bit nervous. Last year in NYC, I had all my blogger friends with me and this year I’m going it alone. I’m looking forward to meeting some new blogger friends I know from online but if you’re at BlogHer and see me on my own, please say hi.
I’ll be tweeting from Blogher and you can follow me @hairromance.
Have a fabulous weekend xx
PS. and if you have any great tips for Chicago – leave them in the comments below! xx

Yay! you are in my hometown (well I live in the suburbs). I am afraid I am a bit of a glutton and all of my tips will be food related for you. For shrimp tacos I suggest Del Soul (Lincoln Park), for sushi Yuki Hana (in Lakeview…and they have $3 happy hour rolls), for doughnuts I suggest Glazed and Infused (they have a few locations), for ice cream I suggest Bobtails (in Lakeview), for fun cupcakes I suggest Molly’s (Lincoln Park) and for the best red velvet cake/cupcakes I suggest Sweet Mandy B’s (also in Lincoln Park). If you would be interested in checking out some interesting vintage wares the Randolph Street Market is also going on this weekend. I am planning on going on Sunday. And if you are interested in exploring some book stores I would suggest Women and Children First in Andersonville or Myopic Books in Wicker Park.
