Big Hair Friday – Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Spring 2012

February 3, 2012 By Hair Romance 14 Comments

Hello Friday!

Some huge hair from Jean Paul Gaultier’s beautiful Couture showing for Spring 2012. A tribute to the late Amy Winehouse, models walked the catwalk with her signature black liner and sky high bouffant hair.

I think Gaultier really captured Winehouse’s spirit in this collection, a beautiful memorial to a musical icon.

Wow! That pink beehive is wonderful. I have the colour but not enough hair for something so large!! I’ll have to pad it out. xx

Aren’t they amazing? They’re all wigs, and padding is definitely required!

Wow, I love the style in the fourth photo! Gosh, I used to want my hair with as little volume as possible, but I’ve been falling in love with big hair lately. Thanks for the inspiration! 😉

I know. It’s a shame as I think Gaultier had only the best intentions. I think it’s one of he most modern couture shows I’ve seen.

I’d go with the wig! Quicker and easier and it’s what all the models are wearing 😉
