From the sublime twisted chignons at Elie Saab Couture…
…to the ridiculous caged hair at Maurizio Galante…
Paris couture shows always inspire with their avant garde collections.
Still swooning over the Valentino braids from last season? These new braids are simple to recreate and just as darling.
Valentino braids – how to get the look
- Part your hair in the centre.
- Take a small section at the start of your part and braid (plait) until you reach your ear.
- Add in two sections of hair and include the braid as the third and continue to do a regular braid (plait).
- Repeat this braid on the other side.
- Combine both braids at the nape of your neck and twist and pin into a messy bun.
The key to this look is to keep it looking youthful and fresh. Leave some layers loose around your face to soften the finish.
Will you try this braid on the weekend?

I just realized– this is the look I’ve been rocking this past year. I have on some blusher, a plain face with some blush and thicker brows, curled dark lashes. I’m still perfecting my brows and thanks to Lien’s ebook, I can!

Love that beauty look Janessa and glad you’re enjoying Lien’s ebook! X

*squeals with delight* :] I love the chignon but I must say I love the bold brows the best! (In the picture right under the hair wrapping around a spherical object and reminds me of an octopus AKA third to the last picture.)
I can’t wait to try out the last hairstyle! I will try it tomorrow. My hair is still quite layered and maybe not long enough yet though it’s grown considerably. Thanks for bringing me such beautiful hair and creating more room for my love in all things beautiful.

Aw thank you so much Janessa! Xx
