This stunning film slows down two seconds of footage into two minutes of beauty. Shot at 1000 frames per second with four wind machines, it’s hypnotically captivating.
Inspired by one of the first session stylists, Ara Gallant, and his ‘flying hair’ techniques captured so well by Richard Avedon, this film takes hair to another level.

I wanna do that…I have long hair!! Ok, seriously, that was awesome. In the spring and summer, after working with my students, I put down all of the windows in my car and open the moonroof and just let it fly. There is no feeling like it in the world. Of course, there’s no feeling in the world like the tangles that are in it afterward, but it’s SO worth it.
Love your blog. I’m gonna try the plaited headband in just a few minutes, and I plan on getting the updo book very soon!
Toodles,
