Georgia May Jagger – How to get the look

November 20, 2012 By Hair Romance Leave a Comment

I love looking through magazines for hair inspiration. I find hairspiration in all kinds of places, but I have a soft spot for editorial hairstyles.

The hairdressers who work on these shoots are called session stylists. They influence the hair trends that you and I want to wear.

Each month I pore over the latest mags as they arrive in my mailbox. I subscribe so I don’t miss an issue. I acquired my love of mags from my sister who has an amazing collection of Vogues and design magazines. Every year I buy her a Harper’s Bazaar subscription for Christmas. One year I forgot and I didn’t hear the end of it. The next year I bought her two subscriptions to make it up to her.

When I first saw the cover this month’s Harper’s Bazaar I was smitten; I couldn’t take my eyes off the stunning Georgia May Jagger.

How to get the look

You may not be the daughter of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger or on the cover of a magazine, but you can still get these textured waves.

Step 1 – Blowdry your hair with a round brush. If your hair is fine you can use a mousse to add volume to your hair.

Step 2 – Spray your hair with a heat protectant like ghd Curl Hold Spray

Step 3 – Curl your hair in sections using a wide curling iron like the Cloud Nine Wand. Clip up the curls to let them cool.

Step 4 – Once you hair is cool, take out the clips and brush out the curls. A natural bristle brush such as a Mason Pearson brush is best.

Step 5 – Mess up those smooth waves with a texture spray. O&M Surf Bomb really is the bomb. Spray it on the ends of your hair and scrunch it.

Where do you find hair-spiration? Which magazines do you subscribe to?
