Hair Romance at Salon International

November 4, 2013 By Hair Romance 3 Comments

Was it only last month that I went to Salon International in London?

This year is flying by and it only feels like last week. Salon International is one of the world’s biggest hairdressing events. It’s primarily a trade event for salons and hairdressers to learn and network.

It’s also a great place to spot the latest hair trends and products!

Hair Romance at Salon International

I was so excited to be back in London. I used to live in England and when the weather is sunny I wonder why I ever left. When it rains it reminds me why I moved back to Australia 😉

It was a huge day out and I was glad to have some friendly Aussie faces with me to explore Salon International. Thanks to Jess from Lily Blue Communications for the instagram pics and for being such fab company in London.

It was great to see some amazing Aussie stylists like Sharon Blain, Craig Smith and Maria Unali at Salon International too.

Now Salon International through my lens…

It’s amazing to see what hairdressers can do without commercial constraints. Hair as art.

I was incredibly impressed by the submissions for Hairdresser of the Year but unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to take any photos in the gallery. I’ll try and share some of the competition images here if I can.

You can find more of my London adventures on Mr & Mrs Romance.

Did you go to Salon International?

Great stuff! Glad to see that you are getting out there, rubbing elbows with some of the best in the business! Were there any innovative styles that you might try out on family & friends?

I’m gutted I missed you, but it looks like you had a great time!
The ghd stand and stage are always fun to watch and I love the atmosphere.
