Hair Romance TV 4 – Side braid hairstyle tutorial

November 30, 2011 By Hair Romance 14 Comments

Hair Romance TV Episode 4 is live!

Side braid hairstyle tutorial – this easy tutorial is a great style for wet or dry hair, and this video shows how I style this braid in my hair at the beach.

Hair Romance TV Episode 4 Side Braid Tutorial

Mr Romance helped me shoot this video in Greece, and it’s a great hairstyle to keep all your hair up on a hot day. As a bonus, when you take this braid out after letting your hair dry, you’ll have perfect beachy waves too!

Lots of you were asking about the side braid in my Hairstyles for Hairsticks post last week, and I hope this video helps! For that post I took the braid straight across, instead of following my hairline. Then, gently pull out sections of the braid to loosen it and make it seem fuller.

Here are some images of the finished braid, not too polished and perfect for a cocktail after the beach!

Hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Hair Romance TV and you can see previous episodes here.

I love this vid for 3 reasons:

    1. You make braiding look easy enough that even I could do it.
    2. That water. THAT WATER.
    3. Morcheeba! Haven’t heard this song in so long — ahh the memories.

Awesome work lovely (as always)! x

Absolutely LOVE this look, it’s such a help for me to have the video, so thanks! I’ve never really gotten the hang of braiding behind my head except for straight down the center. I will definitely be doing this more often. I tested it out today (with a slight variation because my hair is long) on my second day curls before I went to work and it barely needed two pins to stay put all day! Loved it.

I’m looking forward to more videos 🙂

Gorgeous -I always try to braid the new piece straight in , you add it, divide then braid, this may be why I fail !!!

Now ae you sure that backdrop isnt just a poster on your apartment wall!!!

Love this! I’ve done hairstyles very similar to this for myself, but I never thought to only add from the bottom/right side. I’ve always added from both sides, but this is a cool variation!

Thanks LRH! Once you get the hang of braiding there are so many variations you can do.
