Today’s video shows you exactly how to restyle curly hair fast. I’m sharing exactly what I do to my hair before I run out the door.
Styling second day curls is something I’m asked about a lot. I’ve created a few hairstyles but today’s tutorial is a one-take version so you can see my process from start to finish.
Some days you wake up and your curls are great and other days… you need some extra help to fix them up.
This is one of those days.
My second day curly hair routine takes less than ten minutes. I’ve got quite a lot of hair so it might be even quicker for you to do this too.

I realise this tutorial is quite old now, but wonder if you have any current recommendations for a small curling wand? My curls are very similar to yours. I’ve been diligently following the CGM for the past 3 months, but am getting tired of wet refreshing and think this could work really well on my hair. Thanks so much!
I love your tutorials! I am still, even after 40 some years, trying to figure out my curls but your advise is helping. When I use a curling iron I find that it makes my hair kinda crunchy and stiff. Why is that? Is it my iron ? My hair products?
Thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much! It’s probably the products that are giving you that crunchy feeling. What products are you using?
I love your videos and insight into curly hair care. I just wish we could buy these products in the Ubited States! I’ll keep searching for equivalents. It’s helpful that you’ve listed them by category (leave in, heat protectant, etc). You are the best!
thanks Sara! I’m searching for some similar products so I can recommend alternatives x
Did you find equivalent products available in America?
Hi Christina,
I really love your hair, so beautiful!
I think I have a similar texture and thickness to you and I’m very interested in having it cut similarly. What would be best to ask for?
Hairdressers always seem quite hesitant about taking length off my hair but maybe I’m asking for the wrong thing!?
Thank you 🙂
thanks Carys! I have long layers cut in my hair, and rounded corners at the back. Hairdressers are really visual so take in some photos to show them. Explain what you like about the style. It also helps to show a picture of what you don’t like so you are really clear. Save some pictures from Pinterest or Instagram on your phone and talk it through in your consultation. Good luck! x
Great tutorial Chrissie xx
thanks so much, Avril! xx
Such cute styles
thanks Stephanie x
