The Style Loop

Marc by Marc Jacobs hair NYFW SS15

How’s your weekend? It’s been a fun week here in Sydney for me but today I started to get a bit of a panic as I realised it’s only a month until I go to the USA! We’re still planning our trip and working out what to do. I’m wondering if I should hold some braid bars, what do you think?

Here’s what I got up to last week with Jim and we wrote about our top travel tips for Fraser Island. Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world and is an amazing place to visit in Australia.

Love this twisted bun mohawk above as seen at Marc by Marc Jacobs. It kind of reminds me of these rag roll buns at Zimmerman, don’t you think?

Also want to try this tied up ponytail as seen at Reed Krakoff.

How to be truly elegant.

Another beautiful braid tutorial by Missy Sue.

Thanks to Jo of Lifestyle Fifty for this fab post about my book Hair Romance.

How to put together the perfect makeup kit for teens.

Colour theory for makeup explained by Sharon the Makeup artist.

Swatchgirl is struggling with a hair dilemma – what do you when your hairdresser leaves? Here’s my advice on switching salons but what would you do?

10 career lessons from Joanna Goddard.

Your skincare questions answered on Lipstick & Cake.

Checkmate – the perfect check dress.

My jumpsuit obsession continues – need this tailored jumpsuit and this chic navy one.

The amazing Uberkate have just released a new design – the uberbanner.

Love this statement ring (and it’s a bargain!)

Cats + sequins = awesome.

What have you been reading/loving this week? And should I host some braid bars or meet-ups while I’m in the US in November/December?

Yes, please offer braid bars in the US! Boston, perhaps?

Thanks Hilary! Not sure if I will get to Boston this trip but it’s top of my list for the new year xx
