There’s so much braid inspiration on TV lately. Shows like Game of Throne and Vikings are known as much for their hairstyles as their compelling storylines and action scenes.
I was just a little excited to see a backstage shot by Katheryn Winnick, the actor who plays Lagertha in Vikings. This shot is of the lead hairstylist, Dee Corcoran’s mood board for Lagertha’s hair. Can you spot my high crown braid tutorial in the bottom right corner?!

I have to confess, I haven’t really got in to Vikings yet. I watched a couple of episodes but I’m not really into it. Are you a fan of Vikings? Is it worth it to keep watching and how many episodes did it take till you were hooked?

Omg I love this thank you! I’m so into Vikings, can’t wait to see the next season. Lagertha really is one of my heroes, a brave woman. As I am also into mediaval festivals and stuff like that, I’m going to try this the next time I wear my mediaval clothing.

Cool! Not one of the most intricate styles but a good start for figuring out others. You should record the show and just fast forward to the hairstykes…Esp the women’s battle hair….and the boys are worth glancing at, but not just for their hair! Ps..I think Ragnar is Aussie in real life…
