To celebrate the anniversary of my book, I’m giving away three copies!
I know, I can’t believe it’s been a year since my book was launched in Australia either. The time has flown!
I cannot express my thanks and appreciation to every one of you who has bought my book from around the world. It totally blows me away.
As a small way of saying thank you, I want to give away three copies of my book. I’ll post them anywhere in the world too!
To enter, you need to subscribe to my newsletter and leave a comment on this post telling me your favourite thing on Hair Romance, or tell me posts you’d like to see more of on my blog.
I’ll pick the winners and notify them by email on 7th September. Thank you so much for reading Hair Romance and good luck!
Christina xx
I really love all the tutorials. They’ve given me so much inspiration, especially with braiding. 🙂
I love seeing all of your tutorials and would like to see more styles with shoulder length hair. Thanks
Hi!
I’ve loved your blog for many years and still use the 30 braids and 30 buns e-books on a regular basis for inspiration! You challenge me to try hairstyles I might not have before and your tutorials are always easy to follow! Thank you for all you do!!
I totally love that you have curly hairstyles on your site! I feel like so many people that post hairstyles only do so on one hair type (usually straight). Not to say they might not work for curly haired people but it’s nice to know if a style will work for your hair before you do it!
I love the hair tutorials! I really love that you provide for both curly and straight(ened) hair. My natural state is curly, but I use a flat iron often, so I really love having tutorials both ways.
With 4 daughters I love having new ideas and tutorials to do on there hair! They always want something different and cool and I love having somewhere to go to find something!
I love your updo and braid tutorials.
Hey Christina,
I am a fairly new reader to your site. I just subscribed to your newsletter. Since the beginning of time I’ve had curly hair. For a really long time I despised it. Growing up I would always straighten it, twist it, sleek it back, anything that ensured my curls didn’t flow. It has been a real process for me to come to terms with my curls. There are definitely still days when I am frustrated by it, but most days I embrace its uniqueness, but heck! I am convinced having curly hair is more difficult to manage than my straight haired counterparts.
What I love about your site is that it not only is a hair “how-to” gold mine, it gives guidance and advice to people with curly hair, who I often feel have less resources to go to for information on care, management and styling. Curly hair is a whole different ball game, and Its exciting to read through your posts and think “SHE GETS IT!” or “THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW!”
Anyway, I am going to stop rambling. If I could name something I’d like to see on your blog, it would be a post or two on curly hair management and styling for people with thinner hair.
Thanks!
Julia
I love the visuals. All of them! I love that I have found something I can share with my teenagers and they are asking me to do their hair! Thank you 🙂
I came home with your book from ProBlogger and it has travelled all the way to Karratha in WA x
One year? Time really does fly! So proud of you, my shining star. x
Congratulations on your anniversary! I love all of your curly hair tutorials and advice, it’s so easy to hate our curls but you allow us to embrace them – thank you.
I love the easy to follow tutorials 🙂
Hmmm, what do I like most about your website…probably that it’s basically a one-stop shop for any hairstyle I could want, from quick and simple, to creative and intricate. I can always find inspiration for any occasion on your site! But what about quick and fun and/or smart hairstyles that you can do on the go? Like on the bus/train or as you roll out of bed in the morning? A style that isn’t a basic ponytail or braid I mean. I think I’d definitely like to see your take on that!
Hi Christina!
Thank you so much for your blog – I’ve discovered your site nearly a year ago and I’m an addict ever since. You make it so easy for us to follow, even though we’re no hairstylists! And the best is that you are not a model – you are a real woman of flesh and blood with passion (for fashion) and all the little imperfections that make you so adorable. Thank you – I wish you the best!!!
Do you know these little things: http://www.amazon.de/Solida-Hair-Scroo-Haarschraube-Stück/dp/B00AFKPHLC ?? Younver use them and they are soooo greeat for fixing a huge bulk of hair like in buns or a roll…
A propos…could you show how to make a french roll? Mine always works out great – if I look at the roll itself, it is lovely, buuuuut the section on top of my head always looks like somebody pulled at it with great force…. Could you help with that problem?
Greetings from the other end of the World in lovely Germany,
Nicola
I love this site Christina!
Besides the fact that you post trendy hairstyles, it’s also pretty easy to follow the tutorials.
Being a mother of 2 babies, having this kind of sites is the best to keep a good image.
I love your posts always giving me ideas! I like that there’s something for everyone ?
I absoultely love your twist hair tutorials! They alaways look amazing!
Congrats !!! I love all your updo’s!!!
Thanks for all your hard work!
Cheers!
I am fairly new to joining your groups, and am already signed up for the newsletter – I am loving it
I found your blog when I was looking into how to ’embrace’ my curls. I have straightened my hair for as long as I can recall and now in my 50’s learning to love what I have.
Your tutorials and blog have given me more advice and information that I actually use, than any of the many, many other sources I have tried.
I use one of your routines pretty religiously, and some of the products you recommend. I have just started not washing my hair daily based on your advice and think that I can do this!
I love playing with products and trying to make the most of my hair, and thanks to Hair Romance I feel as if I am actually getting good results!
Thank you so much for what you do!
I love the different variety of hairstyles you have. Some I’ve never seen before!
My favorite thing on your blog are the tutorials with braids, twists, etc that I can make work in my curly hair. Thanks so much for teaching me some gorgeous and relatively simple styles!
Love your content, especially since I have curly hair!
Like to know more about curly hair styling, products, hair colour trends/techniques.
Thank you

Today’s my (wedding) anniversary, too, and I wouldn’t have felt as gorgeous that day two years ago without your tips! Thank you ?
My favourites are your curly hair tutorials!
It’s hard to pick a favorite… I really enjoy all the tips for curly hair.
I use your step by step tutorials for braids! i love your blog and i use it everyday
Well this is fate! I logged on to here today specifically to write a comment thanking you for the curly hair styling post you did with Val last week, I figure now I might as well post it here and be in with a chance to win a copy of your glorious book as well! I’ve been following you for a while now and have already picked up tricks such as sulphate free shampoo, not using a towel and pineappling 🙂 I straighten my hair 90% of the time but after watching the video with you and Val i decided to give her technique a try over the weekend. And OH MY GOD! It’s incredible. My curls were so defined and bouncy and I am now on to day 3 (3!) Of frizz free curls. Im also using your trick of pinning up my hair in the shower and then letting the steam into it afterwards followed by some spritzes of oil to revive the curls and it’s working a treat. So thank you!! I probably haven’t put away the straighteners for good but I do think the curls will be making more of a regular occurance now i can make them look this good 🙂
I fall in love with your website at first sight! I’ve always been too lazy to do something with my hair, but thanks to you it finally changed. I have braids on my hair everyday and even if I do something different than from your tutorials, it is always inspired with it. I’d love to win your book, because I would always have your hairstyles by my side and every morning on my head! 🙂
I love your recent curly hair regime video where you add curl creams to soaking wet hair it’s really changed my curls and they last much longer now and have no frizz! And I also love the hairstyle tutorials! Would love to see more curly hair product advice x (have signed up to your newsletter) x
I really love your braided up dos- I really like having my hair up and braids are so much nicer than just a ponytail
Congratulations on the one year anniversary of your book! I love your photography and step by step guides. I would also love to see some tutorials on shoulder length hair!
The tutorials are always so clear and easy to follow!
I LOVE your website and E-books. I think my favorite so far is the Dutch braid faux hawk! Sassy and sophisticated. Can’t wait to see what you show us next.
I loved your post about wet-hair hairstyles – I am always running out the door without time to use hairdryer, so I found these ideas really practical!
I’ve been following your progress for years and it’s so exciting to see you doing so well. Happy anniversary of the book— here’s to several more!
happy Anniversary!!!
I love your tutorials!! Please please pretty pretty happy hair please do some tutorials on shorter hair!! I have shoulder length thick hair and I love seeing styles that will work on this length xxx
I have naturally curly hair and I love the many tipps and tricks you’re sharing on how to care for and style curly hair. It is especially amazing that you show many styles in curly and in straightened hair!
I love how you break down seemingly (for my eyes) difficult hairstyles in easy to understand steps. Experimenting with new styles is no longer the scary task it once was!
I love that you can make even the most tricky looking styles easy to do – adding in extra tips for different hair types (especially fine hair!) makes then accessible to everyone, too!
For someone with naturally wavy hair, I also love your tips on how to take care of my locks and embrace the curl! Reading your blog gave me the confidence to put my straightener away for a while 🙂
It was lovely to meet you with Amanda on Saturday night, you’re an inspiration!
I have seen one of your books and it has given me great inspiration. it is art shown by fashion on hair, it is amazing. I have done several braids on my mother, two younger cousins, my friends and including my self. you have shown online how do different braids on different hairs (long, straight, wavy, short) especially curly hair, which I have and would give me a hard time deciding and doing some hairstyles. I am thankful that you have all of these videos on your web to help out and to learn several different hair styles.
I use your step by step tutorials for updos and braids! I am already suscribed to your newsletter.
I’d love to see some styles with fine, flat hair, so I could imagine how it’d actually look at me 🙂 little miss selfish 🙂
Cheers Verena R.
My favorite thing on your blog are the tutorials, I’d love to learn how to do number 1 of your 30 day braids.
I would love to see some more hairstyle ideas for shorter hair (shoulder length and above). I always struggle with finding pretty updo’s that will suit my length without having hair sticking out everywhere. Overall I love your step-by-step tutorials and beautiful photography! Congratulations on your book!

My favourite thing about you and your blog is how much I can relate! I have curly hair that I like wearing natural and straightened, just like you, so I can admire all your hair tips and tricks!
I love that I can actually achieve these styles with my mass of fine curls! I’ve never been successful with so many styles. Whenever I’m in a rut, I know I can come here for ideas. <3
I have curly hair and always feel like it’s too hard to do anything with so I love your advice for stopping frizz and suggestions for different ways to style curls.
