In the beginning of the year I stumbled upon this site and have since been consulting it whenever I have no clue what to do with my somewhat difficult hair.

The posts that have made massive changes in my daily look are your posts on braids! I love braiding my hair, and whenever I want to try something new, there is always some new braid and style I can try on your site!

Thank you for not letting me down – oh and happy happy bookaversary!

Happy book anniversary! I love seeing hair that looks like mine being styled in such gorgeous ways. My daughter loves to play with my hair when I come home from the salon and it’s been straightened but thanks to your blog, we have some styles to try that embrace the curls.

I have recently had to cut my crazy curly hair short as my ends were permanently straight from straightening for so many years. I’ve really struggled with the length and how tight my curls are – your tutorials have really helped. Particularly the messy curly updo. Thanks for the inspiration!
Please do more short, curly tutorials to help me get through until my hair is long again πŸ™‚

I love the video hair tutorials that you make.
I tend to stick to 3-4 different go to hair styles, but the hair tutorials that you make, allow me to be more adventuresome with my hair, thus completely reinventing my usual looks.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work and commitment that you put in each week. I really appreciate it πŸ˜€

love it when you show hairstyles for both curly or straight hair. I had a keratin treatment in January that left my hair smooth and only now am I seeing the curl return.

Thank you for breaking the styles down into bite sized pieces so I can follow the directions more easily. Mostly I prefer up dos and braids I can achieve in five minutes as I don’t have patience for anything else. Keep up the great work!! Mimi

I love your blog. I particularly began to follow it because of the advice you give for curly hair. In the summer humidity I lose almost all control of my hair. Your techniques and especially your tutorials have been so helpful to me – especially on bad hair days! My sister and niece also have curly hair so I pass along what I learn to them. In addition, you also have such lovely hairstyles that aren’t very difficult to achieve. We all enjoy them. Keep up the great work. I look forward to reading your blog every morning. And thank you for helping so many women with something that is so important to them – their HAIR.

Instant love with this site. Your tutorials are clear, easy to follow. I LOVE the attention you give to curly hair! That is what sets you apart from all the rest. And I love all the little tips for the frizzies! My hair is curly, frizzy, and I’m losing it due to illness, but I am a styling maniac and loving braids. I have couple years left with hair and I’m using the time wisely. Thanks so much. You are much appreciated. Please continue with tutorials. Much love

I love love love ALL of your posts! I think you should put out more hairstyles for long thick hair. My favorite posts must be the incredible braiding. I started growing my hair 4 years ago and now, since it is waist-length, I definitely need lots of hairstyles. My hair will get pretty tangled if I just let it be, so it is in an updo everyday. Your styles are so cute! Keep up with the good work!

I’m already a subscriber, and I love learning how to work with my curls! They only started up about 4 years ago, before that my hair was pin straight. Now it’s somewhere in between, where the top layers curl much more than the bottom. I’m still figuring out what works best. πŸ™‚

    Hello Christina,

I really love the tips you gave about bad haircuts or bad hair day. You know, everyone gets a bad hair day or haircut incident once in a while. Those lifeless strands of hair or weirdly cut bangs make you want to craw back into your bed and never face the public. Your tips are absolutely helpful, giving me hope and makes me gain back my confidence even with that weird undercut. Now I follow your tips to reduce the impact and embrace this not-so-bad haircut:)I’m on my way growing my hair out, so I’ll stick to Hairromance all along the way:)

I am so grateful for your site, Christina! Before you I was HOPELESS with my hair. I even put it on my resolutions list one year for my birthday to “learn to do my damn hair.” I feel I have come so far working with your styles- people even ask how I did my hair now. Thank you!

I would love to see some more videos of the building blocks to more complicated styles. Sometimes it’s hard to get my mind around things like a waterfall braid, so if there were 1-2-3 videos where you did a basic waterfall and then something intermediate and then an advanced variation it would be so fun to progress through.Hope that’s useful!
